In the last few days, it has been brought to our attention that child predators are ever-present on the internet, and more so, even among meebo chat rooms. We can no longer deny the very real danger that exists, nor do we wish to accept responsibility or liability for such. As a result, from this moment on, this room will be 18 or over.
The underaged regulars have already been spoken to in private, and the situation has been explained to them. They are more than welcome to return once they turn 18. As for now, their names have been added to the ban lists.
When requesting unmuting, potential members will have to give their ages.
Once again, this is not the fault of the underaged in here. It is merely a legal issue and we must protect ourselves.
That being said, thank you for your time and patience. If you have any questions, feel free to PM either Blythe or myself, but do not start a conversation about it in this room.
